CCFA - Visit by Cuban Embassador Josefina Vidal
350 W Georgia
Vancouver, BC V6B 6B3
Ambassador Josefina Vidal was previously the Cuban official responsible for leading the historic negotiations with the government of the United States under the Obama presidency that resulted in the mutual opening of the embassies, the opening up of travel by US citizens to Cuba, and also the celebrated release of the Cuban 5 heroes on Dec. 17, 2014.
Her assignment to Canada as ambassador speaks to the importance given by Cuba to its relationship with our country.
The event is organized by 3 local members of the Canadian Network on Cuba: Canadian Cuban Friendship Association (Vancouver), Vancouver Communities in Solidarity with Cuba, and Friends of Cuba Against the Blockade (Vancouver).
The Cuban Ambassador does not visit BC often, so everyone is encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to meet and listen to her.
